Two genuine free exercises
Make your thinking visible.
Reasoning: write the rule
Try the sequence 5, 11, 23, 47. Write what changes between each pair before deciding what comes next.
Reveal the worked explanation
The differences are 6, 12 and 24. Doubling the difference gives 48, so the next term is 95. Check that “double, then add 1” fits every pair: 5 × 2 + 1 = 11, then 23, 47 and 95.
A rule should explain every step. This is practice on one example, not an IQ score.
Speaking: one point, one example
Choose a familiar everyday topic. Say one main point, give one concrete example, then stop. Try a second version with a two-second pause before the example.
- Was your first sentence clear about the point?
- Did your example make the idea easier to follow?
- Which version felt easier for you to say?
